This full-time position will be located at 112 Plaza Dr. Sikeston, MO. 63801.
The regular work schedule will be discussed during the interview process and will require occasional overtime as needed. Hours are generally Monday - Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with some flexibility within those times. The incumbent will be required to share rotating on-call responsibilities for the SEMORS facilities with other RN nursing leads.

This is a professional registered nurse (RN) position accountable for supporting the DBH residential campus program in Sikeston, MO. The incumbent will be accountable for reviewing medical records, observing the provision of medical care provided to patients by facility staff, training facility staff, coordinating assessments from other disciplines, incident reporting, meeting participation, and discharge/transition planning. You may be required to review the work and documentation of LPNs, nurse assistants, and other technical personnel. Jobs in this family perform nursing services that affect patient care and are accountable for the health maintenance/restoration, health promotion, disease prevention, and the quality of care delivered.
Typical functions
The functions within this job family will include the following:
- Administer medications and other prescribed treatments.
- Take vital signs.
- Assist with care plan activities.
- Observe and record patient conditions.
- Review medical records/charts and submit required service monitoring documentation.
- Plan, develop, evaluate, and monitor DBH nursing program and recommend changes.
- Active participation in an inter-disciplinary team and ability to work successfully independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to utilize safety care strategies and follow strategies identified in individuals’ behavior support plan and individualized personal plan.
Knowledge of current professional nursing theory, practices, and standards. Ability to administer detailed therapeutic prescriptions under general professional supervision.
* Professional level nursing duties that require the use of critical thinking and strong autonomy, requires problem solving and excellent communication skills.
* Conducts clinical nurse reviews related to complicated health issues, mortality reviews, and health related threshold reports.
* Prepares and conducts nursing assessments and develops nursing diagnoses.
* Assists in the instruction and monitoring programs for Level One Medication Aide and oversight programs.
* Administers detailed therapeutic prescriptions and nursing interventions.
Licensure as a Registered Nurse and 0-3 years of experience as a registered nurse.
(A recent graduate of an accredited nursing program may practice as a graduate nurse until results of first licensure examination are received or until 90 days after graduation, whichever occurs first.)
