POSITION SUMMARY This position requires a Broward County Journeyman Plumber License . You will not be considered without this license. This is skilled work at the Journeyman level in the installation, maintenance and repair of plumbing fixtures and accessories. Assembles, installs, and repairs pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems according to specifications and plumbing codes. Work is inspected during progress or upon completion for workmanship and general compliance with City plumbing regulations. When assigned, an employee of this class will primarily conduct field inspections and install, repair, replace, and certify RPZ valves (Reduced Pressure Zone) or backflow devices. This job classification is included within the bargaining unit represented by Teamsters Local Union769 and therefore is subject to the terms and conditions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City of Fort Lauderdale and Teamsters Local Union 769.
