SalaryThe salary range for this position is $50,776.88 to $80,037.83 for Schedule A, and $50,776.88 to $76,035.93 for Schedule B. For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range.Job OverviewThe Bergen Vicinage Civil Division is seeking a self‑starter to join a case management team. Under the direction of the Civil Division Manager (Court Executive 2b) and other supervisory personnel, the selected candidate will be responsible for managing cases from docketing through disposition; analyzing, monitoring, and processing cases in accordance with court rules and established practices.ResponsibilitiesWork with judges and team leaders to set priorities and ensure effective case flow management.Create and maintain credible trial calendars.Organize workload to ensure efficiency.Review cases to determine discovery and case management needs, including screening for possible referral to a complementary dispute resolution program.Review deadlines and case management orders.Respond to inquiries from judges, attorneys and other interested parties regarding procedures and status of cases.Troubleshoot team member problems.Conduct mediation sessions.Perform other related duties as required.QualificationsGraduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree.Experience in case management, gathering and analyzing case‑related information, and exercising judgment and discretion.Experience reviewing case identification, coordinating with judges and attorneys, and preparing reports of findings and recommendations.Applicants who are approaching their anticipated graduation date may apply; if selected, the applicant must complete their degree no later than the start date.Remote WorkHybrid work schedule; may qualify for up to two days of remote work outside Judiciary buildings. Requires high‑speed home internet and installation of a multifactor authentication app.Physical AbilityMust be able to climb, stand for prolonged periods, stretch, bend, reach, and occasionally lift and carry supplies weighing 30–50 pounds, and occasionally materials up to 75 pounds.Driver's LicenseAppointees must possess a valid New Jersey driver's license only if operating a vehicle is necessary for essential duties.Authorization to WorkUS citizenship is not required.
