Commercial Loss Control Consultant – Independent ContractorWe are looking for experienced Commercial Lines Loss Control Consultants to visit accounts in the area to perform insurance inspections and consultative visits. Independent loss‑control consultants work independently, meet hard due dates, and are paid by the completed report. Appointments are scheduled at the mutual convenience of the inspector and property contact. Orders and completed reports are handled through a cloud‑based system.This contract‑based position is compensated at a flat rate per inspection, or hourly, depending on client requirements. Payments are made weekly upon full completion and submission of the report.Ideal candidates possess at least three years of relevant experience (or certifications such as CSP or ARM) and have the physical ability to assess the condition of a property. Strong communication, technology, and organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to turn around work promptly. Applicants must have their own equipment (computer, digital camera, scanner, cell phone, etc.), reliable transportation, and be available for calls.During a site visit the consultant will conduct an interview, survey/inspect the premises, identify hazards/controls, take digital photographs, and make recommendations to improve risk.
