    Summary

    The City of SeaTac, Washington, seeks a skilled professional to serve as its next Communications Manager. The SeaTac Communications Division is centered within the City Manager’s Office. Positions reporting to the Communications Manager include a Digital Communications Strategist and a Community Outreach Strategist. The Communications Manager is responsible for providing management, leadership and direction to the Communications team members and overseeing contract engagements with third-party vendors, firms and professionals to ensure effectiveness and professional excellence in City communications.

    Requires a Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, or closely related field; and 8 years of progressively responsible experience in communications, public/community relations, journalism, or a closely related field. Prior supervisory experience is desirable. Previous experience working in communications or community relations at a city, county, or other public employer is also desirable.  An advanced degree is desirable.

    The annual salary range for this position is $122,489 to $156,797 DOQE. Additionally, the City will offer an employment agreement that may include moving and relocation expenses. The City of SeaTac also provides an attractive comprehensive benefits package.
