Job Description

Run the field on hyperscale and colocation data center builds across Texas for an employee-owned GC, where you earn an ownership stake in the projects you deliver. This Jobot Job is hosted by: Cam Strahm Are you a fit? Easy Apply now by clicking the "Quick Apply" button and sending us your resume. Salary: $140,000 - $185,000 per year A bit about us: We’re a well-established, employee-owned general contractor with decades of history in Texas, known for building lasting relationships with clients and trade partners. We work across commercial, institutional, and public sectors, and our mission-critical group is growing fast. We pair large-project capability with a close-knit, values-driven culture. Why join us? Ownership: As an ESOP company, every employee shares in the success they help create. Growth sector: You’ll lead some of the most technically demanding and in-demand projects in construction. Culture: The company is family-oriented and built on servant leadership, integrity, accountability, and teamwork. Long-term careers: You can grow into larger projects and leadership roles, not just finish one job and move on. Real influence: You’ll mentor the next generation of field leaders and help shape a growing mission-critical team. Job Details We’re looking for an experienced Data Center Superintendent to lead field operations on mission-critical projects across Texas and surrounding markets. You’ll own the field from sitework through commissioning and turnover, including schedule, safety, quality, and the relationships that make complex projects run smoothly. What you’ll do: Direct all field construction activities and maintain short- and long-term schedules alongside Project Management. Lead daily field operations, planning sessions, and subcontractor coordination meetings, managing manpower, equipment, and materials. Coordinate installation of critical MEP systems: medium/low-voltage electrical, generators and fuel systems, UPS, switchgear, chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, BAS, and fire protection and detection. Manage delivery and installation sequencing of long-lead equipment, and protect critical path milestones. Support testing, startup, commissioning, IST, and final acceptance with commissioning agents and client representatives. Review documents early to catch conflicts and constructability issues before they hit the field. Champion a strong safety culture, including OSHA compliance, safety meetings, inspections, and incident investigations. Drive quality control, punch list completion, and clean closeout. Mentor Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and Project Engineers. What you bring: 5+ years of commercial construction experience, including 3+ years as a Superintendent on large-scale projects. Experience leading data center, mission critical, semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, healthcare, or similarly MEP-intensive work. Strong working knowledge of MEP and fire protection systems, sequencing, and scheduling. Ability to read plans, specs, and shop drawings and manage many trades at once. Comfort with construction technology and PM software. Preferred: direct hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, or edge data center experience; projects over $50M; commissioning experience; OSHA 30; First Aid/CPR; a degree in Construction Management or Engineering.
