Will County Illinois is strategically located 35 miles southwest of Chicago. It is governed by a County Board consisting of 27 elected members and an elected County Executive who is responsible for the management of 15 County departments/agencies. Our County-wide elected officials collectively provide a full range of associated governmental services. We employ approximately 2,300 employees who serve the County's population of 600,000. Will County is the fastest growing county in Illinois, and is the second largest county of the 6 county Chicago metro region.
