The Montgomery County Department of Job & Family Services is a department under the auspices of the Board of County Commissioners that performs four major functions:
The administration of Federal and State Public Assistance programs;
The administration of Federal, State and County Medical Assistance programs;
The administration of Federal, State and local service and day care programs; and
The administration of the Federal and State Support Enforcement programs
Mission Statement: To provide county residents with financial, medical and other supportive services while providing opportunities to reduce dependency and strengthen the quality of life, and to enable participants in public assistance programs to attain and sustain economic independence.
