Region Nine Development Commission
Region Nine Development Commission (RNDC) works to promote the development of South Central Minnesota through intergovernmental cooperation, community and human development, long-range planning, and technical assistance. RNDC is governed by 40 regional leaders that represent nine counties, 72 cities, 147 townships, 33 school districts, the Minnesota Valley Council of Governments, and public interest groups including Health & Human Welfare, Minority Populations, and Youth. RNDC serves the region by providing expertise in areas surrounding economic development, community development, transportation, and leveraging regional resources. Additionally, RNDC provides financial resources such as Revolving Loan Funds and fiscal sponsorships to local businesses and organizations. By fostering partnerships from both the public and private sectors, RNDC is able to help strengthen everything from regional food clusters to medical device manufacturing. Identifying new markets, supporting exports, and advocating for the region allow RNDC to ensure a robust, innovative, and resilient economy that provides opportunities for all.
