Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Response Watch in Fairfax, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access activities. Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, offices, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and/or vendor movement in accordance with site protocols, reporting suspicious behavior and/or policy violations.
• Support daily operations by preparing reports, noting maintenance or environmental concerns, and relaying important information to supervisors and/or designated personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card and/or license is required.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
