    Prevailing Wage Journeyman Electrician (Government Projects) Job Summary:

    We are seeking an experienced and skilled Prevailing Wage Journeyman Electrician to join our team, focusing on government projects in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of prevailing wage requirements and expertise in electrical installations for public works projects.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs on government-contracted projects, ensuring compliance with prevailing wage regulations.
    • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications to plan and execute electrical work.
    • Adhere to safety protocols and building codes to maintain a safe working environment.
    • Collaborate with contractors, project managers, and other trades to ensure project completion within established timelines.
    • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked for prevailing wage reporting.
    • Attend training sessions and workshops to stay current on prevailing wage regulations, electrical code updates, and industry best practices.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an electrician apprenticeship program or equivalent training.
    • Valid California General Electrician Certification and Journeyman Electrician license.
    • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a journeyman electrician, with at least 1 year working on government-contracted projects.
    • Thorough understanding of prevailing wage requirements and experience complying with public works project regulations.
    • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and installation methods.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
    • Familiarity with local, state, and federal building codes and safety regulations.
    • Must be willing to pass GOVT background check for base clearance.
