    Job Description

iWorks Corporation, founded in 2005, is a leading provider of information technology and professional services to the federal government. We are a recognized leader in personnel security and vetting solutions, Agile, DevOps, DevSecOps, data analytics, and cloud solutions. Our continuous process improvement approach, combined with our business and technology expertise, results in innovative solutions.

We're hiring a Personnel Security Assistant. A role that keeps our organization running by supporting a wide range of functions, from personnel security administration and file management to customer service and call center support. No two days look exactly alike. You don't need to arrive with expertise in every area. What we're looking for is someone with a genuine interest in personnel security, law enforcement, military, or the intelligence community with the drive to grow. Training is part of the deal. What you bring is attention to detail, a critical eye for the work in front of you, and the ability to collaborate as part of a team working toward a shared goal Hourly Rate: $16.77 to $18.27/hour, which will be determined based on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications. Please note that this position is subject to the guidelines of the Service Contract Act.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities Your specific assignments will vary based on contract needs, but will generally fall within the following areas:

    • Call Center & Customer Service: You'll support a professional, high-responsiveness call center fielding phone calls and electronic inquiries from the security community with a goal of resolving issues at the first point of contact. Response standards are tight (under 3 minutes for calls, 2 days for email), and you'll be expected to handle inquiries on adjudicative case status, program information, and security policies and procedures with courtesy, accuracy, and sound judgment without routinely escalating to a second tier.
    • Records & File Management: You'll create, maintain, update, correct, and review subject records in real time during customer interactions, ensuring data is accurate and complete throughout.
    • Administrative Support: You'll assist in drafting and preparing a variety of documents, including Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, letters, reports, staff studies, briefings, charts, and position and background papers

*Other duties as assigned Required Education/Qualifications:

    • Clearance: Applicants must be eligible for a Top-Secret clearance, possibly necessitating an initial interim clearance. For more details on the clearance process, please refer to DCSA.
    • No degree or formal experience required.
    • Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of National Security Databases including the JPAS, DISS, CATS, e-QIP, DCII, DPS, OPM, SII, CVS and PIPS personnel security applications / systems.

    Career Advancement:

    • Personnel Security Specialist (Potential for Hybrid and Fully remote options after promotion)
