    Training Developer, Sr - GMD Weapons Systems (GWS)

    Become a part of something IMPACT-ful! Ground Missile Defense (GMD) is the heart of the Missile Defense System and a key element of our nation's defense against ballistic missile attacks. The GMD Weapon System (GWS) processes data from multiple sensors to identify and characterize the inbound ballistic missile threat, plans the best defensive solution, and launches the intercepting missiles to negate the threat.

    The Work

    This individual will be responsible for working with subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop new learning products for multiple engineering disciplines, evaluating and improving existing learning products, collaborating with multiple teams to identify current and future training/knowledge/skill gaps, and administering learning management systems. The selected candidate will have demonstrated experience applying contemporary adult learning theories to create a variety of learning materials for multiple disciplines, audiences, and modalities. Additionally, the candidate will have a strong track record of collaboration and contribute to future curriculum development.

    A Day in the Life:

    • Create a wide variety of learning materials, ranging from microlearning products to self-paced learning guides to interactive courses.
    • Analyze and evaluate training/knowledge/skill gaps to identify and develop appropriate learning solutions.
    • Design and develop learning products for multiple modalities, including online, in-person, and hybrid, as well as synchronous and asynchronous formats.
    • Demonstrate and utilize effective needs analysis, project management, course development, and evaluation skills.
    • Contribute to and support GMD Engineering and Manufacturing knowledge development strategies, and their lifecycles.
    • Maintain positive communication with internal Product Developers and Government customers.
    • Create and analyze learning metrics to evaluate instructional effectiveness and improvement opportunities.
