Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage general surgery cases including appendectomies, laparoscopic cholecystectomies, bowel obstructions, and trauma cases.
- Provide emergency call coverage.
- Support from 1st assists available for OR procedures.
- Respond to trauma cases within a timely manner.
Required Qualifications:
- Board Certified in General Surgery (required)
- Active North Dakota medical license or eligibility via the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)
- ACLS, BLS, and ATLS certifications (required)
- Clean malpractice and background records (preferred)
- Previous experience working in trauma settings
- Must be available for the scheduled dates
- COVID vaccination required
Credentialing Requirements:
- 60-day credentialing process
- Must provide case logs from the last 2 years
- Up-to-date CV including locums experience
- Clean sex offender background check required
