Definition:
Warmly greets and welcomes guests; operates computer systems, collects revenue, sells
seasonal and daily passes, maintains attendance of facility, answers questions in a professional
manner in person and/or by telephone, handles camping reservations and facility rentals;
registers patrons for activities or reservations. Ensures the security, health and safety of patrons
accessing the facility
Principal Duties: Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
• Courteously and promptly greet and/or direct patrons in person or on the telephone. • Handle monetary transactions including daily admissions or passes, activity registrations
and reservations, and facility rentals. Operate and balance cash till. • Assist in the filing and maintenance of various records and reports such as season
passes, activity and cash reports. • Assist the public through knowledgeable and tactful questioning. Determine customers'
needs, answer questions and provide information for all of the reservoir operations. • Inventory and sell resale items. • Assist patrons or staff in emergency situations as outlined. • Attend and participate in staff meetings and/or trainings. • Maintain a clean and orderly front entrance gate. • Observe, follow and enforce established policies and procedures in the daily conduct of
the job. • Plan and arrange work schedule and establish priorities to complete scheduled assigned
work within parameters assigned by the supervisor. • Maintain clean and professional looking entrance gate, perform additional maintenance
as needed for the inside and outside of the entrance gate. • Performs essential duties and additional tasks in a manner which enhances City
Attributes.
Working Environment: Work conditions are performed outdoors and involves exposure to hot and cold temperatures, high humidity, direct sun and/or moderate to loud background noise. Work is performed independently and as a member of staff. Work requires frequent use of fingers and hands, walking and standing, hearing, speaking, problem solving, math, verbal and written communication and customer contact, handling multiple tasks with frequent interruptions, handling cash amounts, custodial duties, slippery/uneven walking surfaces. Work occasionally involves: light/moderate lifting and carrying (1-49 lbs.), bending, stooping, and kneeling. Possible driving of City vehicle for errands (if 18 years of age or older).
Qualifications: Proficiency and speed in using personal computer and working knowledge of data entry. Must be a minimum of 16 years of age. First Aid, CPR/AED certifications desired. Successful completion of the Aquatic Nuisance Species training program and exam required. Will be provided. Desired Certifications: American Red Cross Community CPR and First Aid certifications, and successful completion of the Aquatic Nuisance Species (ANS) training.
