    Job Summary and Responsibilities

    Marian Regional Medical Center, a service of Dignity Health, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Faculty Family Medicine Physician to join our well-established academic practice. This is an excellent opportunity to provide comprehensive clinical care while shaping the next generation of family physicians in a supportive, mission-driven environment.

    Opportunity Highlights

    • Balanced Faculty Split: Enjoy a structured schedule consisting of 60% Faculty Time and 40% Outpatient Clinic time.
    • Residency Program Overview: Core faculty role supervising 18 total residents (6 per PGY level) in a fully ACGME-accredited program with Osteopathic Recognition (the first in CA to earn this via ACGME).
    • Unique Team-Based Care Model: Work within a distinct team care approach where each patient care group features Family Medicine Residents, two Faculty Supervising Physicians, and two Medical Assistants.
    • Protected Didactic Structure: Participate in dedicated Thursday didactics covering practice management, resident/faculty alignment, and program wellness initiatives.

    Compensation & Benefits:

    • Annual Salary: $300,000 (dependent on experience) + productivity & quality incentives.
    • Incentive Packages: Generous Sign-On bonus, Relocation assistance, and dedicated Student Loan Assistance available for new graduates (less than 3 years out).

    Job Requirements
    • Completion of an ACGME accredited Family Medicine residency program
    • BC in Family Medicine (FM)
    • Must possess or have an ability to obtain an unrestricted California medical license prior to employment
    • Previous experience as a Faculty Family Medicine Physician is strongly preferred.
    • Effective written and oral communication skills.
    • Proficiency in word processing and communication software.
    • Knowledge of clinical practice laws, ethics, and ACGME requirements for graduate medical education.
    • Familiarity with ACGME requirements, ABFM standards, and California licensure regulations.

    Role Responsibilities

    • Precepting residents in outpatient and inpatient settings, delivering didactic lectures, and mentoring.
    • 60% Faculty Time: Precepting residents in clinic and hospital; teaching didactic sessions, rounds, and procedure skills; handling mentorship, curriculum planning, quality improvement, and scholarship.
    • 40% Outpatient Clinic: Providing direct patient care at the Family Medicine Center.
