    Position Description
    Designs, implements and manages an assigned program. Typical duties can include but are not limited to: Identify funding opportunities, conduct program assessments, prepare program reports, oversee and manage program marketing and communications, manage program databases, supervise program staff, plan research activities, coordinate program events, participate in strategic planning, manage program files, establish program standards and objectives, direct logistical activities to promote the success of programs, develop and implement project timelines and ensures deadlines are met, oversee program budget, ensure goals and objectives of grants are met, assists in proposal writing, comply and analyze program statistics.

    Major/Essential Functions
    • Design, maintain, perform regular backup and oversee data systems which support Workforce Development Programs.
    • Support the Managing Director/PI in the development, distribution and maintenance of annual record of standard operating procedures for AHEC Centers which includes defining standardized data criteria, workflow, validation rules, and reporting timelines aligned with department projects aligned with grant deliverables.
    • Review and approve data submitted by regional AHEC centers in collaboration with grant evaluator, principal investigator, and managing director prior to inclusion in program-wide and federal reporting.
    • Ensure documentation retained in accordance with institutional and grant requirements.
    • Under the direction of the Managing Director/PI preparation, coordination, and submission of the annual HRSA Performance Report (APR) by required deadlines.
    • Coordinate with regional AHEC centers to resolve data discrepancies, reporting issues identified during key reporting.
    • Collaborate with P.I. and Managing Director in monitoring ongoing compliance with HRSA reporting standards and key performance metrics during grant cycle.
    • Support the Managing Director/PI in providing functional oversight of program implementation, data collection, and reporting activities across six regional AHEC centers operating under independent host organizations.
    • Communicate standardized reporting expectations, timelines, and documentation requirements consistent with state contracts and HRSA guidelines.
    • Participate in strategic planning and continuous improvement for current and future rural workforce and education initiatives.
    • Collaborate with grant evaluator and I.T. support specialist to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for program improvement.
    • Support statewide evaluation reporting to internal, external, and governmental stakeholders.
    • Support the Managing Director/PI in providing program-level accountability for AHEC staff development needs, annual meeting, data integrity, reporting accuracy, and compliance outcomes.
    • Assist the Managing Director/PI in functional oversight of regional AHEC center reporting and data submission requirements.
    • As directed by the Managing Director/PI provide supervisory functions for less than or equal to 2 direct reports.
    • Assume additional responsibilities as delegated by the Managing Director/PI.


    Required Qualifications
    Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of experience managing or supporting program operations OR a combination of education and/or related experience to equal eight (8) years.
