Correction Officers are responsible for the custody, security, safety, and well-being of incarcerated individuals in state correctional facilities, shock incarceration correctional facilities, work release centers, and a drug treatment campus.Correction Officer Trainees are required to participate in, and satisfactorily complete, requirements of a 12-month training program before advancing to Correction Officer.
