Correction Officer Trainees are required to participate in, and satisfactorily complete, requirements of a 12-month training program before advancing to Correction Officer. As part of the program, you will attend the Correctional Services Training Academy for a minimum eight‑week formal training program.Correction Officers are responsible for the custody and security, as well as for the safety and well‑being of incarcerated individuals in state correctional facilities, shock incarceration correctional facilities, work release centers and a drug treatment campus.Salary range includes a $5,000 annual geographic pay differential.Additional Monetary Compensations Provided:Inconvenience PayLocation PayPre‑Shift BriefingExpanded Duty Pay104 hours of vacation annually, up to a maximum of 156 hours, depending on length of service.104 hours annually paid holiday time.40 paid personal leave hours annually.Paid sick leave accumulating at the rate of 104 hours per year.Excellent health, dental, and optical insurance coverage.All uniforms and equipment are provided.Seniority LevelEntry levelEmployment TypeFull‑timeJob FunctionAdministrative and OtherIndustriesPublic Safety and Security and Investigations#J-18808-Ljbffr
