Summary:A Traffic Control Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians on roadways. They install, maintain, and operate traffic control devices, such as signals, signs, and crosswalk markings. Their duties includeDuties and Responsibilities:* Direct the flow of machinery and vehicle on roads and the work site* Coordinate, setup, manage, and remove traffic control* Use stop signs and signals to guide vehicles and pedestrians around construction sites and work zones.* Familiar with MUTCD traffic control setup* Carry and load materials to be used on the job* Monitoring road conditions, they asses road conditions an take corrective action to ensure safety, such as closing roads and diverting traffic* Follow all company safety policies and practices* Assist in hauling equipment to and from job site* Clean up and restore work area* Maintain all traffic control equiment to prevent accidents and injuries* Other duties as assignedEssential Education and Qualifications:* Good verbal communication skills* Valid Driver's License* Valid DOT Health CardPreferred Skills:* Class A Driver's License (CDL)Physical Demands:* Must be physically fit to endure the daily activity involved with the job* Must be able to work in all weather conditions* Must be able to lift up to 75 poundsPay Scale:$20/hr - $35/hrBenefits offered to eligible employees include medical, dental, vision, and supplemental life insurance, along with Paid Time Off, paid Holidays, traditional and ROTH 401(k) options with company match, employee stock purchase plan, education assistance program, employee assistance program, training and development opportunities, Telecommunications Industry Registered Apprenticeship Program, and a Commercial Driver's License obtainment program.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.All offers of employment are expressly contingent upon the satisfactory completion, in accordance with Company policy, of a pre-employment drug screening and may be subject to a background check.
