Job Summary:
The Transportation Dispatcher supports the Delta employee shuttle bus system with scheduling, routing, and dispatching duties; operates a variety of communication equipment, including two-way radio, telephone, computer mobile dispatch terminal and scheduling systems; to verify and monitor staff locations; prepare, prioritize and relay transportation requests, including emergencies; to participate in a variety of administrative and clerical duties related to assigned area of work

Weekly pay for hourly employees (may vary specific to state regulations)
Job Duties:
Utilize video monitoring to identify high rider volume and trigger adjustments to bus flow as needed to minimize wait times for all employees.
Dynamically adjust and effectively communicate route times and locations to drivers.
Generate reports to show the highs and lows of the rider movement throughout each day
Document complaints and distribute them to Management for processing.
Complete work in a safe and secure manner, following company safety and operational standards
Immediately report safety and security incidents as well as potential hazards in line with the Unifi Fair and Just Culture Policy.
Perform other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill, experience, and capabilities expected for this position.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able to obtain credentials required as per airport or state requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
1 year of relevant dispatch experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent clerical and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and work under stress and remain calm during rapidly changing situations
Ability to relay information in a fast-paced environment
Prior dispatch experience preferred
Physical requirements:
Must be able to constantly lift, move up to 70 lbs; Frequently lift, move weights greater than 70 lbs; and constantly walk, stand, reach above shoulder, climb, crawl, stoop, squat, kneel and bend.
Working conditions:
Must be able to work in rotating shifts and hours, nights, weekends and holidays, overtime.
Must be able and open to work in outside weather conditions which may include severe seasonal elements.
Must be able to work in an office bound environment.
