You will apply your knowledge of IP networking, low‑voltage systems, and structured cabling to maintain and troubleshoot systems built on server/client architecture.As a Security Systems Service Technician, you will be the primary technical contact for customers, providing excellent service and ensuring building inhabitants are safe.ResponsibilitiesSupport systems commissioning at customer facilities – set up and test new and existing integrated security systems, verify network connectivity and device programming, document configurations and TCP/IP parameters, and communicate system status and deficiencies to customers and your team.Perform scheduled maintenance through inspections and preventive maintenance on IP cameras, access control platforms, alarm sensors, and software; perform firmware and software updates as required.Respond to service calls – use network configuration and troubleshooting methodologies along with diagnostic software to diagnose problems, then execute repairs to restore system functionality.Ensure compliance by identifying and documenting code violations and system deficiencies to ensure all low‑voltage systems and structured cabling meet required standards.Collaborate daily with mentors, Lead Technicians, and Team Leaders to plan your work and develop skills in system programming, system integration, and troubleshooting.QualificationsBasic Qualifications:Electro‑mechanical experience (from a job, military, school, or tech training)Computer skills – know your way around PCs, networks (routers, switches, cables), and server basicsGood with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Comfortable using laptops, smartphones, tablets, hand tools, and diagnostic softwareAble to tell wire types and colors apartAble to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders/scaffolds, and work in varied spaces (server rooms, above ceilings, outdoors, construction sites– all weather)Physically able to reach, climb, stand, and bend as neededMust be willing and available to work overtime and on‑call as neededMust be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle programLegally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorshipPreferred Qualifications:High school diploma or state‑recognized GED; Associate degree in electronics or related field preferred1+ years' experience in the installation and/or maintenance of large‑scale integrated security systemsAbility to read/understand design and construction documentsPayThe pay range for this position is $42,340–$72,583 annually.
