Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $14 - $14 / hour*

What you'll be doing as a Fire Watcher:

• Monitor for fire hazards while other employees are working

• Follow the conditions and requirements stated by the Control Room

• In the event of a fire, extinguish it immediately or activate the fire alarm and notify the plant control room

• Ensure you and other employees know the location of fire-fighting equipment

• Maintain constant communication and keep visual and voice contact with other employees

• Inspect the work area before and during each shift for potential release of flammable vapors or liquids

• Be ready to operate fire extinguishers, hydrants, fixed monitors, and hose carts at any time.

• Do not leave the job site unattended while work is being done; if you must leave, ensure coverage is maintained

• Perform general labor and janitorial duties, such as sweeping and wiping down railings and equipment, without interfering with Fire Watch/Hole Watch duties

• Follow directions from the Lead and adhere to task instructions and break schedules

Available Shifts:

Shift Timings: 1st Shift (Day), 2nd Shift (Evening)

Job Requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady

• Ability to work in a hot environment

• Ability to work in foul-smelling conditions

• Not afraid of heights

• Background check and Drug test required
