Dispatcher – West Cook, ILThe Dispatcher oversees road service through communication with operators and provides customer support to clients. We are seeking customer service‑oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.Compensation$21.50 per hour (subject to collective bargaining agreement).BenefitsVacation: minimum of two weeksSick days: 5 daysHolidays: 12 days (8 standard and 4 floating holidays)Standard benefits: 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental and vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, voluntary long‑term disability.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee road service assigned carriers by tracking trip performance measures, route timing, incidents, etc.Provide customer support by responding to questions and concerns regarding customer trips including no shows, cancellations, and missed trips.Manage emergency situations for vehicle operators, acting as liaison between the carrier and emergency services.Manage daily service by reviewing route performance and proactively responding to situations that impact customer service.Other duties as required.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED; Technical Degree preferred.3–5 years of experience dispatching.Excellent verbal, interpersonal and customer service skills.Problem‑solving and analytical skills.Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.Physical RequirementsSit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on sloped or uneven surfaces.Push and pull objects up to 25 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level.Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to dust, vehicle fumes, and noise.Drug‑Free WorkplaceApplicants must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.Must successfully pass a pre‑employment drug screen.Equal Employment OpportunityTransdev is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer and welcomes all qualified applicants.
