Position Description:
Duties:
Licking County Job & Family Services, Protective Services Division, is currently seeking ongoing social workers dedicated to providing dynamic, intensive case management to families and children in the Licking County Community. LCJFS offers an excellent wage and benefit package, as well as public retirement plan and tuition reimbursement.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Completes family and child assessments to identify family dynamics and risk factors. Continually monitors families for safety and well-being of children. Provides crisis intervention and assesses family situations resulting in the initiation of services and short/long-term goals. Provides intensive counseling and parenting skills instruction to families in child abuse and neglect situations. Performs on-call duties as scheduled. Works with legal and law enforcement agencies. Presents testimony in court.

Successful candidates will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in a Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or related field. Experience working with at-risk families in areas such as child welfare, substance abuse, mental health, and behavior management preferred. Knowledge of community resources helpful.
Additional qualifications include, but are not limited to: ability to work overtime/on-call hours as necessary; may be exposed to hostile customers; must have physical dexterity/fitness to carry small children, climb stairs, etc. Driving is an essential function of this position.
Must have valid driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record as determined by Licking County Government.
Successful drug screen and background check required.
Compensation:
Pay Range: $20.72 - $30.65 per hour (placement in pay range is dependent on experience and education)
