Work is slated to start on 1 January 2027 (contingent upon contract award). In 2023, the Chief of Space Operations (CSO) initiated an effort to refine the roles for Space Force officer, enlisted, and civilian Guardians to better prepare the USSF for dominating in the space-domain. In this new construct, the enlisted Guardians serve as the technical specialists that execute orders while serving as leaders, weapon system experts, and advisors to their officer and civilian counterpart across satellite operations, cyberspace operations, and intelligence operations in the space-domain. The development, education and training of the enlisted force starts with the foundation built during Initial Skills Training. To achieve this level of technical depth across knowledge, skills and abilities, the USSF is transforming its initial skills training to meet the CSO's vision. This evolution is called the GET initiative.Essential Job FunctionsPerform curriculum development and instruction across a wide range of Intelligence-related disciplines including:US space capabilities, space systems, ground systems, and operational employment of space assets; support foundational and advanced space operations instruction.Introductory intelligence curriculum; teach intelligence community structure, intelligence disciplines (SIGINT, GEOINT, HUMINT, OSINT, etc.), intelligence processes, and foundational tradecraft.Intelligence tradecraft instruction; teach intelligence fusion, threat analysis, briefing techniques, analytical writing, reporting, and presentation skills; mentor students in intelligence products and briefing delivery.Joint targeting curriculum; teach targeting methodology, targeting cycle processes, target development, and space-related targeting considerations; support intelligence and operational integration events.Foreign threats to space operations; provide instruction on adversary space capabilities, systems, tactics, and threat analysis supporting operational planning and exercises.Assess and mentor students.Support integrated events, guest instruction, and multi-course instruction.Support mission integration and Graduation Exercise (GRADEX) activities.Participate in curriculum reviews, agile course development and maintenance efforts.Maintain LMS records and student documentation.Participate in faculty development and continuous improvement activities.Coordinate activities with Contract PM and government supervisory personnel.Additional duties as assigned.Required SkillsSkilled communicator, experienced in providing platform instruction to an academically diverse audience.Prior completion of AETC Basic Instructor Course (BIC) or other service equivalent, accepted by CCAF or ability to obtain a CCAF accredited BIC certification within 3 months after employment.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).Active or current Top-Secret Clearance and SCI eligibility required.Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree required or Community College of the Air Force associates degree in Intelligence Studies and Technology.Minimum 3 years of experience in ISD-based curriculum/lesson development.Minimum 3 years of space experience in the specific mission area of this position with a US Government agency.Minimum 3 years of experience as a formal instructor or 5 years as a briefer/public speaking.Work EnvironmentWork on-site, indoor office and classroom environment.Physical DemandsMust be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods.Must be able to perform repetitive keyboard tasks and associated motions for prolonged periods.Must be able to carry up to 25 pounds.Salary Range*Aleut will be accepting applications for this position until filled*Aleut offers the following benefits to eligible employees:Health insurancePaid Time OffShort- and Long-Term DisabilityLife insurance401k and matchEqual Opportunity EmployerEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities.
