Job description Summary DescriptionThe Dispatcher reports to the Transportation Manager and provides support in the timely completion of various routine departmental clerical assignments and other duties as assigned by the Transportation Manager or Transportation Coordinator.Key Tasks and ResponsibilitiesCoordination of Participant SchedulesUpdates and communicates changes in driver daily schedulesEnter timekeeping data and review timecards dailyEnter all data from D/A'sEngage with Partners in Customer Service/ Customer Care SupportAssist with client calls and disseminate accordinglyRespond to all designated transport requests utilizing company resourcesEnsure all incoming phone calls are answered in a timely mannerComplete assigned clerical and administrative tasks as requiredAssess the next day's resources and forecast potential problems. Re-arrange the schedule and drivers as needed to ensure proper coverageReport all issues promptly with possible solutions to ManagementSchedule Transportation routes as approved by Transportation CoordinatorOperations Lunch Relief / BackupOther Assigned ReportsEducation & TrainingHigh School graduateCollege degree preferredCommercial driver license with passenger endorsementKnowledge and ExperienceExperience in Senior Care or related human services industry1 year experience with the elderly requiredExtensive knowledge of PACE location and surrounding areas streets, neighborhoods and traffic patternsVehicle scheduling, dispatching and office experience desiredCore CompetenciesClear and concise oral and written communication skillsPlanning and organizational abilityAbility to problem analysis, problem solving & adaptabilityAttention to detail and ability to manage projects with minimal supervisionMust possess superior customer service skills and the ability to communicate professionally and effectively with Management, co-workers, clients and vendorsWorking ConditionsWorking hours: Monday - Friday 6:00am - 5:00pm, varying shiftsPhysical RequirementsMay require sitting or standing for up to 4 hours. Position requires working in a seated position while operating computer, keyboard, mouse, phones and printers and filing of documents. Ability to use proper body mechanics.This position requires working overnight hours, often with minimal direct supervision.
