We're seeking an experienced truck dispatcher with a strong background in commercial commodities (freight like: retail goods, consumer products, food and beverage, industrial supplies, building materials, electronics, packaged freight) and household goods (both would be advantageous). As a dispatcher, you will be the primary point-of-contact for company and contract drivers, playing a crucial role in on-time deliveries and customer satisfaction. If you take pride in turning complex schedules into smooth, efficient routes, this is the role for you.

You will also maintain detailed logs of dispatched calls, route changes, arrivals, pickups, and deliveries, monitor truck repairs and maintenance schedules, log customer shipping schedules and record complaints for follow-up, work with the Agency Safety Rep to ensure driver compliance with DOT regulations, company safety policies, and accurate driver logs, proactively troubleshoot delays, breakdowns, or service exceptions and escalate when necessary, and perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's in transportation/logistics preferred, 23+ years of truck dispatch experience, ideally with both commercial and household goods, demonstrated ability to create efficient routes, schedule drivers, and manage multiple operations simultaneously, strong customer service experience and proven ability to generate accurate freight bills and invoices, experience with Transportation Management Software (TMS) and GPS/tracking systems, and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
