Dispatcher / Load Planning CoordinatorLocation: Commerce, CASchedule: Monday-Friday | 3:00 PM - 11:00 PMPay: $25-$27/hr Employment Type: Temporary, 4-6 weeks(Potential for Extension)Industry: Food Distribution About the OpportunityWe are seeking a Dispatcher / Load Planning Coordinator to support a fast-paced transportation and logistics operation in the Food Distribution industry. This position will be responsible for coordinating driver schedules, monitoring deliveries, planning routes, and ensuring efficient transportation operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-volume environment, communicates effectively with drivers and internal teams, and can quickly adapt to changing priorities. ResponsibilitiesCoordinate daily dispatch activities for drivers and transportation routesMonitor and track deliveries to ensure on-time performanceCommunicate with drivers regarding route changes, delays, delivery schedules, and operational updatesPlan and optimize routes to maximize efficiency and productivityTrack shipments and provide status updates to internal stakeholdersAssist with load planning and transportation schedulingMonitor driver availability and equipment utilizationMaintain accurate dispatch records and transportation documentationTroubleshoot delivery issues and resolve transportation-related concerns in real timeCoordinate with operations teams to ensure customer service expectations are metSupport fleet operations and assist with transportation reporting as neededQualifications2+ years of dispatch, transportation, logistics, or trucking operations experienceExperience coordinating drivers, routes, and deliveriesStrong communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentProficient with Microsoft Office, including ExcelExperience using dispatch software, transportation management systems (TMS), or fleet tracking systems preferredKnowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service guidelines is a plusExperience with route planning and load coordination preferredBilingual English/Spanish is a plus
