- Ensure control and security of the South Carolina Department of Corrections Broad River complex/area buildings/ facilities & equipment, to include access & egress from the BRC, Education Division (formerly known as the Director's house) & grounds surrounding institutions and/or divisions of SCDC.
- Supervise & verify the accuracy of scheduled visitors & functions to ensure only authorized personnel are permitted entry.
- Evaluate officers' duty performance; instruct & counsel officers in required duty performance standards.
- Ensure subordinates maintain all training & certification requirements & receive additional training, to include OJT as needed or required.
