OverviewLaboratory Analyst. LOCATION: Merritt Island, FL. JOB STATUS: Full-time. CERTIFICATION: N/A. TRAVEL: Limited; as needed. Must be US citizen.Required Qualifications & SkillsHigh school diploma required.Minimum of 1 year of general laboratory analytical experience.Desired Qualifications & SkillsAbility to use computers and printers for work instructions, viewing drawings & specifications, producing reports, time keeping and schedules.Three to five years' experience using a variety of laboratory equipment and techniques used in analytical chemistry, including gas chromatographs, spectrometers, optical microscopes, wet chemistry techniques, class A glassware, data reporting tools, etc.Familiarity with GLP, NELAC, ISO 17025, and/or EPA requirements.Full-time regular work hours between Monday-Friday.Position may require overtime including weekend work depending on task.Must be dependable and punctual.Shift work may be required.Physical RequirementsCandidates must be able to pass the following Kennedy Space Center‑provided physicals.Fuel HandlerVisual: Micro-Particle CounterRespirator CertificationResponsibilitiesAssist chemists in analytical determinations through sample collection, experiment execution, and data recording.Conduct measurements using advanced analytical instruments and maintain accurate documentation of chemical analysis results.Perform calibration, standardization, and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment.Prepare analytical solutions and gas mixtures for laboratory use.Support specialized tests and projects including troubleshooting and aerospace system simulations.Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory standards (EPA/FL, DOH/NELAC).Utilize computer-assisted tools for automation and data processing.Provide input on improving laboratory procedures and equipment.Issue purchase requests and assist the company Point of Contact (POC) in regulatory compliance (e.g., RCRA).Contribute to critical launch support by providing accurate and timely chemical analysis.#J-18808-Ljbffr
