Shift Schedule: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime.
Starting Rate: $27.8402 PER HOUR / $57,907.6300 ANNUAL

The Badging Officer is responsible for administrative and customer service support in the daily operation of the Airport Badging Office, which includes the issuance and management of Security Identification Area (SIDA) and access control badges. This position maintains highly sensitive and confidential information.
The following duties are typical for this position. Incumbents may not perform all of the listed duties and/or may be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth below to address business needs and changing business practices.
- Responsible for the processing and the issuance of Security Identification Area (SIDA) badges, employee credentials and restricted parking permits in accordance with the established Airport Security Program and FAA rules and regulations.
- Serves as TSA trusted agent that collects and transmits biographical and biometric information.
- Resolves ID badging and permit complaints while complying with Airport and FAA security regulations and budgetary mandates.
- Administers and maintains automated and physical security record systems for security badges in accordance with established Airport rules and procedures and other security programs.
- Maintains integrity of personal identification information (PII) for applicants in accordance with local and federal policies.
- Liaisons with Authority, airline, and tenant partner management.
- Oversees and reviews applicant background investigations.
- Monitor Rap Back notifications daily and act in accordance with NAA policies.
- Provides daily activity reports of reported incidents and inconsistencies to Airport Security Coordinator.
- Conducts scheduled and periodic audits and reports, and prepares special studies and projects based on TSA reviews.
- Completes administrative tasks related to the operation of the badging office.
- Assists with procurement of department supplies and distribution.
- Performs other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected of this position.
- Review and oversee internal control for related security items such as equipment and recording systems, results of employment history, verification and criminal history records checks, airport access badges, airport identification badges, keys, doors, and gate openers.
- Programming and maintenance of security access control computer systems and software.
- Administer and adhere to all Authority policies and guidelines.
- Performs all other duties as assigned and directed.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Thorough knowledge of TSA and FAA regulations pertaining to Security.
- Ability to listen and identify/resolve issues.
- Thorough understanding of customer and management services and standards.
- Basic understanding of business and management principles.
- Ability and willingness to work alone, and on weekends and holidays.
- Must be open-minded and ready to work as part of a detail-oriented team.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong work ethic, character, and integrity.
- Ability to utilize computers and other technology items as tools in daily course of business. Maintain accurate electronic files, records and programs and must be able to meet time sensitive requirements as assigned or scheduled.
- Must be flexible to learn new skills and tasks to assist others as assigned while demonstrating the ability to maintain effective work relationships with co-workers, leadership team and other airport personnel, tenants, and suppliers.
- Ability to communicate information and instructions verbally and/or via radio equipment, preferred.
High school graduate or equivalent.
- At least one (1) year of working in a badging or credentialing office, preferably in aviation.
- Work related to badging and credentialing in a secure environment.
- Trusted Agent through American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), or the ability to obtain within ninety (90) days of employment.
- Any related training and certification necessary for the position as deemed appropriate by the NAA.
Ability to obtain and maintain eligibility to hold a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge as may be required by assigned job duties and responsibilities. Ability to successfully complete a criminal background check and other pre-employment requirements.
Be highly proficient and current with necessary access control and security camera technology, operating systems and equipment for the performance of assigned duties to include computer; telephone; alarm system; portable radio; Video Management system and monitoring, access control platform, and copier. Must have above average knowledge of the Microsoft Suite, to include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
Normal job duties require prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Employees must be able to withstand mental and physical stress.
Exposure to moderate noise (i.e., business office with computers, phones, printers)
