An established building systems engineering group is hiring Fire Protection Engineers (mid- and senior-level) to take the lead on fire and life safety design. From labs and cleanrooms to corporate campuses and institutional buildings, you'll work across a wide mix of project types with a collaborative team that integrates fire protection alongside mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Responsibilities
  • Create fire protection layouts, specifications, and construction documents
  • Conduct hazard analyses and code compliance reviews
  • Manage project scopes, schedules, and quality standards
  • Coordinate with other disciplines to deliver integrated solutions
  • Mentor junior engineers and support internal knowledge-sharing
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of consulting experience in fire protection engineering
  • Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field
  • PE license preferred (required at senior level)
  • Knowledge of NFPA codes, fire alarm, suppression, and sprinkler systems
  • Strong communication skills for cross-discipline and client interaction

Important: This is a fully on-site role based in San Jose, CA. Candidates must already reside in or be relocating to the Bay Area. Local travel to project sites may be required.
