Mountain Patrol serves as the first-aid responder around the campus for children, employees and professional athletes who are engaging skateboarding, biking, tumbling, trampolines and a variety of other activities. The patroller works in collaboration with the ATC/medical staff to respond to all injuries on the mountain and make calls on the next treatment steps with the patient. The patroller is responsible for responding to medical emergencies, administering first aid, calling for additional resources, properly packaging patients for transport, etc. Patrol is also required to cover the dispatch center throughout the day. All camp employees are role models to our campers and should be prepared to represent the Woodward brand pillars to the highest standard: Innovative Environments, Dynamic Programming, and Passionate People!

- EMT or OEC Certification with current CPR Certification.

- NREMT-B, NREMT-A, W-EMT, or OEC cert.
- Current BLS Certification for AED/CPR (American Heart Association preferred)
Administering First Aid:
- Requires professional interaction and collaboration with the entire Health & Safety team.
- Requires the ability to remain calm and composed during a medical emergency.
- Requires a thorough understanding of the Medical Policies and Procedures.
- Responding to medical emergencies is a top priority of a Base Area/ Patroller.
- Requires the ability to work with local E.M.S. agencies when transferring patient care to a higher level.
- Documenting ALL medical contacts through a combination of paper forms and Electronic Medical Records.
- Investigate accidents or incidents that happen on BRC property.
- Document daily activities, auto accidents, and other miscellaneous events.
- Daily equipment and vehicle maintenance checks such as: AEDs, ATV, Golf Cart(s), and E-bikes.
- Educate guests in mountain biking, as well as terrain park use and etiquette.
- Upholding company policies and rules regarding alcohol, behavior, ticketing, and entrances/exits.
- Enforcing park boundaries and tidying rope lines/signage/tower pads for maximum visibility and function.
- Inspecting all indoor and outdoor parks to identify risks to guests and employees
- Other duties as assigned
