The Security Shift Manager will function as a liaison with federal, state, and local law enforcement, as well as first responders as needed. The resulting creation of wealth will grow opportunities for all.Duties and ResponsibilitiesManages and directs Security teamManages the dispatch of all aspects of the staffing, including radio controlSchedules the activities of the Security team, ensuring appropriate coverage of the propertyCreates and maintains written incident reports involving guests or employees within the incident reporting system; prepares additional detailed reports as may be requiredProvides Key Control and Coordinates all gaming facility keysStays in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and requirementsVerifies gaming machine access; Verifies gaming machine payout verification logs meet all requirements of the Gaming CommissionManages all aspects of guest and employee safetyReports employee violations of established policies and proceduresCommunicates emergency procedures; Maintains entrance/exit door security and crowd control according to the Company's rules and proceduresEstablish, implement, and enforce policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements, Company initiatives, and organizational goalsBuilds strong working relationships with directors and managers throughout the organizationSelect, train, and develop team members through education, training, coaching, and corrective actionParticipates daily in the operation to ensure:Staffing levels are adequateTeam Members are performing guest services as per Wind Creek standards.Review, investigate, and implement corrective plans on all incident, medical, and surveillance reports to ensure departmental compliance with internal controls, policies, and all applicable regulationsIn the absence of, or when directed by the Director of Security, perform system administration to the Electronic Key Control SystemPerform duties and responsibilities associated with the IGB statewide voluntary Self-Exclusion ProgramAssist in arrests or physically restraining a resistant individual as neededResponsible for the overall security operations in the absence of the Director of SecurityReports directly to Director of Security all information pertaining of safety and securityMaintains staffing time attendance and budgets for the departmentOther duties and responsibilities as assignedJob RequirementsHigh School diploma or GED – requiredBachelor's Degree in Related Field AND two (2) years' Security/Law Enforcement Supervisory – requiredOR Four (4) years' experience in a Security/ Law Enforcement Management position – requiredOR Three (3) years' experience in a Security Supervisory position with Wind Creek Hospitality – requiredMinimum of five (5) years' experience in law enforcement, public safety administration, active duty military security functions, corrections or other security capacity – requiredTwo (2) years of experience in customer relations or guest services – requiredMust be able to meet and maintain a departmental physical fitness standard – required; the security department may conduct a test that is comparable to the below requirements: requiredMust be able to lift and carry up to 100 lbs for a distance of 300 feet within 120 secondsMust be able to climb 4 flights of stairs in 80 secondsMust be able to run 350 ft in 90 secondsAnnually re-test for all physical requirementsMust have excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to counsel, guide, train, and instruct assigned personnel in the proper performance of their dutiesAbility to develop and modify standard operating procedures (SOPs)Works well with manual and automated systems and develops or implements procedures, formats, budgets, testing, training, and documentationMust have the ability to interact with a variety of peopleMust be able to adapt and thrive in a fluid, high-stress, and fast-paced environmentMust be at least 21 years of ageWilling to work odd and irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidaysWilling to travel and participate in training as recommended or requiredMust have an Occupational License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) pursuant to the Illinois Gaming Act and remain in good standing with the Illinois Gaming Board as a requirement for this positionMust have a current State driver's license and an insurable driving record; for purposes of driving company vehicles – requiredMust have willingness and ability to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environmentBase PayPay range - $63,700 - $78,700 (The base pay will depend factors such as experience level and skillset.)Voluntary full-time benefit offerings include the following – group medical, dental, vision, and life insurance as well as access to a flexible spending account (FSA) option.
