Guidance & Controls EngineerWe are an industry leader in GPS/INS engineering, munition design, analysis, integration, and testing. To support our growing organization, we are seeking a highly organized, goal-oriented G&C engineer for our Niceville, FL location. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the design, development, integration, and maintenance of complex defense systems. The position requires a strong background in systems engineering, a keen understanding of defense industry standards, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:• Lead the design and development of defense systems, ensuring they meet stringent specifications and performance requirements• Support the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions and lower level requirements to support technical, schedule and cost restraints• Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement solutions• Conduct hardware and software integration testing by executing test procedures, troubleshooting real-time system interfaces, and validating performance against design specifications in a lab or range environment. Participate/lead and coordinate preparation, conduct and closeout of internal and external customers reviews: SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR and Stage Gate reviews• Identify potential risks and cost associated with system development and implementation• Ensure compliance with defense industry standards and regulations• Periodic travel for support of integration and test eventsProvides an excellent employee benefit package including highly competitive salary, bonus, safe harbor self-directed 401k, company paid group life insurance, medical and PTO, along with education reimbursement. This is an on-site position which requires periodic travel in support of programs.Minimum Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Engineering,physics, or a related STEM field.• 3+ years of experience within the DoD or Aerospace industry in feedback control system design, trajectory optimization, guidance, or optimal estimation• Knowledge of basic aerodynamic principles• Proven experience in rapid development environments• Demonstrated proficiency in the full requirements lifecycle, including development, management, and configuration control• Experience managing and collaborating across Multi-Discipline Teams (Electrical, Mechanical, Software, GNC, Manufacturing, Operations) to ensure system-level design integrity• Experience with Integration, Test, Verification and Validation of systems• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to present technical data to stakeholders.• Must be able to verify U.S. citizenship• Ability to obtain necessary security clearanceDesired Qualifications:• Demonstrated experience integrating GPS/GNSS receivers and navigation subsystems into aircraft or similar platforms• Technical understanding of GPS/GNSS hardware components, including antenna placement, RF cabling, signal receivers, and keying requirements• High-level proficiency in navigation system architectures and the functional utilization of GPS data• Experience with Model Based Engineering (MBSE) principles and tools, such as SysML, Cameo, or equivalent modeling software• Configuration Management Experience
