You will provide technical support related to the design, installation, inspection, testing and maintenance of fire protection systems and other Emergency Management System (Spill, Confined Space Entry) throughout the site.Responsibilities:Assist within the sites Emergency Response Plan and act as a liaison between the contracted staff and LGESMIAssist with the development of site emergency response plans and proceduresEnsure that site fire protection systems are inspected, tested, and maintained in accordance with NFPA 25, Maintain and inspect firefighting equipmentEnsure that site's Emergency Response Systems are inspected, tested and maintained in accordance with LGESMI Standards.Support and deliver annual site-wide fire extinguisher training and building Emergency Drills for your shift.Monitor fire and gas detection, alarm, and suppression systems.Monitor CCTV systems to detect process defects, fires, leaks, spills, dangerous conduct, and security concernsSupport emergency requests for assistance and dispatch the appropriate emergency resourcesProvide assistance with medical evaluations, First Responder services, and injury reporting services to LGESMI employees and visitors as requestedMaintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards: Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, SustainRight Location, Right Quantity, Right ContainerFollow LGESMI existing cleaning SOP's during downtime (e.g. line stop, waiting time, etc.), whichPerform other duties as assignedQualifications: High School Diploma or GED requiredFirst Responder certified and CPR/BLS/AED certified, can be done within the Fire Brigade once hiredPass Firefighter agility test and physicalExperience: 0-3+ years of experience in fire watch or security monitoring, with demonstrated proficiency in CCTV, fire/gas detection, alarm, and suppression systems surveillance.Knowledge of NFPA and IFC standards and building/fire code requirements.Willingness to cross-train in other functions within the EH&S team.Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office productsOutstanding organizational skillsProfessional, positive attitude, highly motivated self-starter, and well-organizedAbility to gather data and prepare reports, statements and presentationsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsBenefits Overview 100% employer paid Medical, Dental, and Vision premium for you and your family100% employer-paid disability and life insuranceEmployer supported childcare/babysitting programsGenerous Paid Time Off / HolidaysOpportunity to grow in diverse work environment with a global company401k Retirement savings and planning with generous company matchLGESMI is an Equal Opportunity employer that values the diversity of its workforce.
