The Technician, Fire Suppressionworks under limited supervision, they inspect, test, andmaintaincomplex water-based systems including AFFF deluge systems.Typical duties include but are not limited to:Test and inspect building water-base fire protection systems.Perform scheduled maintenance on fire protection systems to include: AFFF Deluge, Low-Expansion Foam, Pre-Action, Dry, Water Mist and Water Spray, Pressure-Reducing Valves, and fixtures.Assist in adjustment, repair, or replacement of leaky joints, pipes, valves, and other equipment and components to maintain proper and efficient operation of all related fire protection systems.
