There is a state-required exam at the end of the academy to finalize your certification. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.Starting salary is $54,0176.60 ($25.97/hour), $61,297.60 ($29.47/hour) after 5 years, and $67,059.20 ($32.24/hour) after 10 years of service.
