Interview mode: Virtual MDH is implementing a new Electronic Health Record (EHR) solution. To ensure efficient and effective use of the new solution, MDH is requesting a comprehensive Network Discovery and Infrastructure assessment resulting in their WiFi heat maps for various areas of the facilities in scope as a priority.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understand MDH requirements and gain insight into the current network environment versus required network environment.
  • Plan and develop the network assessment project details, documentation of devices, knowledge management, provide continuous service improvements.
  • Generate and leverage a color-coded graphical representation of the heat maps and provide active support and participation in each phase and handover deliverables from the completion of the assessment.
  • Evaluate the current network to identify areas that need to be enhanced or upgraded.
  • Understand existing tools, configuration, accessibility, licenses, network device information, risks, gaps, etc.
  • Oversee assessment project progress, management, and monitoring the overall project progression and set deadlines.
  • Manage staff on their availability, accessibility, and technical requirements for a smooth assessment operation.
  • Update and document information on the specified tools and enhance knowledge management.
  • Design and draw High-Level Designs (HLD) and Low-Level Designs (LLD) for future network and security architectural designs.
  • Provide and support the team on activities like network configuration, intermittent connectivity issues, latency, packet drops, bandwidth details, wireless devices, network utilization, bandwidth segregations, throughput management, and related issues.
  • Create powerful AI-assisted predictive wireless network designs.
  • Run network upgrade simulations to test performance.
  • Inspect collected and live survey data.
  • Generate custom reports detailing the performance health of your network.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10 years of overall Network Engineering experience.
  • 4 years of wireless heatmap experience.
  • Hands on experience with Ekahau or similar tools.

Educational Requirement: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field

Citizenship requirement: No Visa restrictions
