Shift: 12p-12a.Minimum QualificationsEducationCompletion of a Paramedic training program and required hospital and/or field training.Licenses/CertificationsCertified as a Paramedic by the Texas Department of HealthCertified in Basic Life Support, ACLS, and PALS within six (6) months of hireCertified in BTLS or PTLS within eighteen (18) months of hireExperience / Knowledge / SkillsOne (1) year minimum experience as a paramedic.Effective oral and written communication skills.Ability to perform duties requiring prolonged standing, walking, stooping, bending, and lifting.Ability to perform 24/7 on‑call duties as required by clinical operations.Demonstrates commitment to the Partners‑in‑Caring process by integrating our culture in all internal and external customer interactions; delivers on our brand promise of "Advancing health. Personalizing care" through compassion, courage, credibility, and commitment to community.Principal AccountabilitiesDelivers appropriate patient care at a competent level and according to the age/needs of the patient/population served.Assists Registered Nurse in the treatment of the emergency patients and performs procedures identified on the Skills Inventory.Assists in the communication and prioritization of patient care.Obtains subjective and objective data.Documents on Emergency Center records according to hospital standards; provides patient/family with discharge information and/or education.Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department‑based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor and resource to less experienced staff.Other duties as assigned.#J-18808-Ljbffr
