Cloud Engineer, TS/SCI with a Full Scope Polygraph Security Clearance is Required, Reston, VA
We are looking for a skilled Cloud Engineer to join the team. In this technical Cloud Engineer role, you will prioritize usage to efficiently allocate funds and resources for our platform. The qualified Cloud Engineer must have an active TS/SCI with a Full Scope Polygraph security clearance. This position is 100% Onsite.
Cloud Engineer Responsibilities:
- Design and develop Cloud architectures, solutions, and hosting services in Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud environments as well as integration with on premise Datacenters.
- Work proficiently with both Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Perform regular scripting work as needed (shell scripting, Python, JavaScript, etc.).
- Update contingency plan leveraging Amazon Web Services (AWS) regions.
- Work with security team to ensure all AWS cloud security requirements have been met.
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud resources in Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure and other environments.
- Prioritize usage to efficiently allocate resources while maximizing developer experience.
- Manage networking, security groups and policies related to cloud resources.
- Respond to product team needs in a timely manner.
- Maintain a strong security first mindset.
Cloud Engineer Qualifications:
- Must have an active TS/SCI with a Full Scope Polygraph security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 5+ years of technical experience working with databases, computers, storage, and networks.
- 3+ years of experience in Cloud engineering.
- Knowledge of Cloud, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Services offered by AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, EMR, ECS, Lambda).
- Experience with Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), VmWare or Oracle Cloud Platform.
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)) and their data services.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
