Adobe RoboeHelp Developer and Administrator

Looking for an expert RoboHelp Developer/Administrator to support the team that creates intuitive and immersive documents using rich media, testing team publish as responsive HTML5, real-time CSS pages, PDF, mobile apps to cater to customers across platforms.

Required skillset:

• Expert knowledge in RoboHelp/Medcap Flare, Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint
• Experienced developer with skills and knowledge of managing and designing websites
• Expert in knowledge management and information sharing across platforms
• Must be able to demonstrate data validation programming to eliminate manual validation
• Partner with stakeholders to support and prioritize critical projects that align with the technical roadmap
• Must be available and on call to support release cycle activities
• Must have applicable soft skills and responsive to request
• Must be able to look at a problem from initiation, to identification, to resolution
• Must be able to identify risks and report concerns promptly
• Must be able to meet on demand request from stakeholders
• Must have a competent back-up with familiarity and experience to support the lead software engineer

Content creation phase:

• Setup a new project with proper structure, manage multiple projects, and design elements
• Build a project from different parts and help with publishing
• Simultaneously work and support on multiple sections of a project
• Import content from multiple sources and ingest modern formats like Markdown, and legacy formats like Word and HTML5
• Write and provide CSS and Java scripts as necessary
• Guide the authors during content creation with all the elements defined in the standards document
• Work closely with authors by previewing and providing the feedback on the content to meet standards

Configure output (Responsive HTML5, CSS3 PDF, etc.,):

• Configure settings to customize the appearance and capabilities of output
• Implement conditional content to show or hide content depending on the need of the user or output
• Generate or publish the output for multiple platforms, such as web, mobile, and print (Responsive HTML5, PDF, MS HTML Help (CHM), Frameless, Mobile App, and more)

Drive collaboration expertise:

• Produce high-quality contextual reviews to streamline live collaboration with reviewers
• Guide multiple reviewers to markup the topics at the same time
• Add/remove stakeholders and modify their access
• Knowledgeable with microcontent authoring, multi-author editing

Navigation management:

• Manage navigation in frameless HTML5 output
• Build the navigation with text and images are linked to other content and decide the content hierarchy or organization scheme
• Create links among different sets of content (topics) and to content that is external

Version control:

• Integration with SharePoint Online for document version control
• Manage document versions with SPO
• Good knowledge of SharePoint Online and Share Point On-prem, its setup, configuration, and access control

Indexing support for search:

Leverage product features but support all search activities including indexing for topics and baggage files included in a project

Administer RoboHelp Server:

• Require complete understanding of RoboHelp server - security, hosting HTML5 and CSS content, gather analytics and provide reporting, manage user rights, data security, seamless self-service deployment
• Configure RoboHelp Server to authenticate administrators and users using the Web Administrator and configuration files
• Provide support as a Web administrator to open and delete projects; manage users, view reports, schedule databases, backend jobs and clear cache
• Manage periodical maintenance on the RoboHelp server
• Work with Adobe vendor to troubleshoot issues and roll fixes
• Upgrade version of RoboHelp server and client with proper testing

Management support:

• Customize intuitive HTML5-based report dashboard
• Optimize the content with data tracking
• Locate areas where users make repeated requests for information, find out which searches are repeated and how users navigate content. Based on the tracking and reporting data, help customize the content to meet user requirements, find information gaps, and improve overall process and procedure of content publishing

Software skill:

• RoboHelp 2017 and 2020, Medcap Flare, Jira, Confluence and SharePoint
• Programming skill using Java,.Net, CSS, and HTML 5
• XML documentation, O365 Word, PDF
• Java Runtime Environment (JRE)
• Visual Studio/ Team Explorer 2015 or later (Azure DevOps connections)
• Git for Windows/Mac (Git connections) and GIT for future integration to RoboHelp 2020.

8-11 Years Experience

Additional skills:

• Must have Java development experience with ability to develop unit / integration test cases using Junit /TestNg.
• Must have ability to understand and work with code developed by other developers.
• Must have ability to work independently.
• Must have experience with web services
• Must have extensive experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (in English).
• Good to have experience with JavaScript, JIRA, Ticketing system like SMAX.
• Good to have experience in working with API Management Tools.
• Good to have experience in working with GIT/BitBucket.
