Cloud Engineer SME (TS/SCI with Poly Required)

At GCI, we solve the hard problems. As a Cloud Engineer SME, a typical day will include the following duties:
- Ability to design, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems
- Experience developing software using Java, Python, C++, and Rukby
- Strong programming skills for accurate code interpretation and implementation
- Experience with DevOps / Platforms: AWS (S3, RDS, EC2, ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, CloudFormation, Docker, Ansible, etc.)
- Documented experience with Open-source technology, Software development, and System engineering
- Experience using DevOps tools for CI/CD: GitHub, Jenkins
- Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve Infrastructure vulnerabilities, and Application deployment issues
- Regularly review existing systems and recommend improvements and cost efficiencies
- Develop and maintain cloud solutions aligned with customer best practices
- Experience working on Agile Scrum development teams
- Ability to interact with clients, provide cloud support, and make recommendations
- Strong understanding of: Web services, APIs, REST
Desired Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Assessment & Authorization (A&A) processes and artifact collection
- Ability to troubleshoot and support COTS and GOTS applications in Windows/Azure environments
*A candidate must be a US Citizen and requires an active/current TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
