Mobile Phlebotomist
Madison Core Labs is a state-of-the-art full-service independent clinical laboratory, and we are currently seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Mobile Phlebotomist to join our team! Position Summary
The Dispatcher is responsible for efficiently and accurately assigning to the Mobile Phlebotomy team members all orders for collecting blood and all specimen samples for Laboratory analysis, depending on specific facility demands and requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions:
- Confirm that all orders to collect samples including blood, and swabs are assigned accurately.
- Enter incoming orders and standing orders in our system correctly.
- Assists the billing department with missing information follows-up with clients.
- Complete all required documentation within your scheduled workload.
- Schedules the courier for pickups when needed.
- Collaborates with others as needed.
- Other duties as directed by supervisor.
Supervisor Responsibilities: None
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); and three to five years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
- Dispatch experience with lab services, preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient in Phlebio, and other LIS systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (i.e., Outlook, Teams, Word).
- Excellent organizational skills and time management.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Work Conditions:
- Office setting that entails consecutive hours sitting at a desk and working on a computer with multiple monitors, keyboard/mouse, etc.
- Ability to lift up to 10lbs.
- Must use fingers and hands related to data entry up to 100% of time to perform the work of this position.
