Lead Combat Systems SME
Sayres is seeking an experienced Lead Combat Systems SME in San Diego, CA with a SECRET clearance, verifiable in DISS.
Position Summary
The Lead Combat Systems SME provides expert assessments of Navy combat systems readiness, maintenance programs, and operational effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Conduct combat systems readiness assessments.
- Evaluate maintenance execution and material condition.
- Review AEGIS, SSDS, and related combat system operations.
- Advise ship leadership on readiness risks and corrective actions.
- Develop technical reports and recommendations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 15 years supervisory experience.
- Extensive experience as STO, CSMM, CSOOW, or equivalent.
- Experience supporting AEGIS and/or SSDS combat systems.
- Maintenance/training staff experience (TYCOM, ISIC, ATG, or equivalent).
- Thorough knowledge of Navy combat systems maintenance processes.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 25+ years highly desirable.
Occasional travel may be required. Support is primarily based in San Diego, CA, with occasional travel to Navy fleet concentration areas including Everett, WA; Pearl Harbor, HI; Sasebo, Japan; Yokosuka, Japan; and Singapore, as well as other customer locations as required.
Salary Range: $90,000$140,000, commensurate with experience. Compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and market considerations.
