The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing the schedules of our fleet of drivers, ensuring timely and safe deliveries, and optimizing routes for maximum efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesSchedule and dispatch drivers to appropriate locations according to customer requests, specifications, or needsMonitor the status of trucks and drivers, tracking routes and ensuring timely deliveriesProvide real-time support to drivers, addressing any issues, changes, or emergencies that ariseCommunicate with customers to provide updates on delivery schedules and address any service concernsMaintain records of driver assignments, routes, and other dispatch informationUse transportation management software to plan, organize, and track loadsOptimize routes for fuel efficiency and timely deliveryEnsure compliance with all transportation regulations, company policies, and safety proceduresCollaborate with other team members to resolve transportation issues and ensure operational efficiencyRequirementsProven experience as a Truck Dispatcher, Logistics Coordinator, or similar roleStrong understanding of dispatching systems, route planning, and GPS navigation toolsAbility to multitask and manage several drivers simultaneouslyExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenStrong organizational skills with attention to detailAbility to handle high-pressure situations and resolve issues quicklyKnowledge of DOT regulations and transportation safety protocolsProficiency in transportation management software and Microsoft OfficeHigh school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in logistics or transportation are a plusPreferred QualificationsMinimum of 3 years previous experience in the trucking or logistics industryFamiliarity with fleet management systems and GPS tracking toolsAbility to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings, if necessaryBilingual is a plus#J-18808-Ljbffr
