Provides detailed information to communicate design and operation to the customerCompletes the loading, device verification and commissioning of all system controllers as requiredValidates complete system functionality and troubleshoots problems to ensure proper operation. Provides accurate as built and commissioning documentationKnowledgeandsafeuseof hand tools and various power toolsEnsure compliance withSafetyPolicies andProceduresPlan and organize project work to assure all work is completed in accordance with contract requirementsAssist in resolution of scope conflicts in coordination with the Project ManagerProvide on-the-job training opportunities for technicians and helpersPerform assigned tasks as required to complete service calls including but not limited to troubleshooting, equipment replacement, basic system programming, installation coordination, system, commissioning, and closeout assistance.Ensures work performed complies with state, local and Federal legal requirements.Performs site-specific training for owner operator on the total system in full or with assistance. Ensures owner operator has been trained. Provides proper documentation and manuals for system operation.Completes service tickets and surveys in a detailed mannerTechnician must be able to train and supervise entry and Tech level 1 personnel in a team environment tofacilitate installing cable from equipment roomstofield devices while following drawings and run lists to ensure cables are installed methodically and arranged in proper bundles for ease of dressing and termination.Technician must be able to perform quality assurance checks of their team's work ensuring cable and device install is performed within all specified requirementsDevelop a plan for sequence of work in line with the project schedule to assure all work is completed in accordance with contract documentsProvide on-the-job training opportunities for technicians and helpersMaintainaclean work areaand participateinjob site clean upPerforms other duties and responsibilities as requested or requiredBasic QualificationsUp to85%travel which may be for extended periods.High School diploma orGEDis requiredMust have an excellent safety record, a valid driver'slicense,and clean driving record in order to meet corporate eligibility requirements to drive a company owned vehicle as necessaryMust be able to pass and maintain a USG security clearance/background checkDemonstrated experience and ability to read and to understand plans and specificationsMinimum of 5 years direct work experience with electronic security systems and installation of systems4 years of technical hands-on experience in commissioning and programming security or access control systems. Relevant systems include but are not limited AMAG, Bosch, DMP, Gallagher, Hirsch, Lenel, etc.Valid Certification in one or more of the following: AMAG, Bosch, DMP, Gallagher, Hirsch, Lenel, etc.Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs, work at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and all types of laddersAbility to walk, climb, lift, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull and reach overhead on a routine and repetitive basisPreferred QualificationsElectronics Certification from an accredited Technical School or equivalent military training.Certifications or classroom training and experience with fiber and networks, as well as a working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft programs and databases strongly preferredKnowledge of project accounting, costing principals and contractingStrong communications, time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectivesConsistently report to work on time, work well with other to accomplish a common goal and maintain a safe work environmentEvolver is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes all job seekers.
