Our work depends on a Site Surveyor Technician joining our team to support our government client's activities in their locations.At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Site Surveyor Technician supports and manages the responsibilities of the successful completion of all tasks in assigned projects.Provide configuration management support for assigned projects.Perform thorough and documented site surveys for installation, moves, additions, changes, and removal of desktop IT equipment, peripherals, and telephone systems.Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.Offer excellent growth and certification opportunities for higher level IT positions both on the contract and within the company.Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with a focus on team collaboration.Effective communicator (written/verbal) with proven ability to work collaboratively.Excellent collaborative skills and articulate communication style.Must be ready for full days and a fast pace on a large Government campus, with occasional redirection in focus based on mission needs.Must be able to track action items, projects, and plans.Must be able to lift 30 lbs. or more; significant walking involved between buildings and offices.Must be able to access installed desktop IT equipment in and around office furniture.Participate in special projects as required.QualificationsEducation: HS/GEDExperience is a plus but not mandatory. All training will be provided on site by experienced and qualified staff.Must have good MS Word, Excel, and Outlook computing skills at a minimum, solid written and verbal communication skills a must.Regular interface with customers should be expected; must have excellent customer service skills.Must possess appropriate and current DoD Information Assurance (IA) Certification to be considered for employment: CompTIA Security+ CE is the minimum certification.Privileged User access may be required; subject to higher scrutiny and zero‑tolerance policy for security violations.What You'll Need To SucceedEducation: High School Diploma/GED.Experience: 0+ years of related experience.Technical skills: Experience is a plus but not mandatory. All training will be provided on site by experienced and qualified staff.Must have good MS Word, Excel, and Outlook computing skills at a minimum, solid written and verbal communication skills a must.Regular interface with customers should be expected; must have excellent customer service skills.Security clearance level: Must be able to attain TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.US citizenship required.Role requirements: onsite and travel.SalaryThe likely hourly rate for this position is between $22.26 - $27.65. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
