Location: Fort Lauderdale
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
As a Dispatcher, you will play a vital role in ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products and services to our customers. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating and scheduling inbound vendor deliveries and outbound customer orders using our company fleet.
- Managing driver schedules and delivery routes to ensure on-time performance and meet service level commitments.
- Verifying shipping documentation to align with customer requirements and expectations.
- Monitoring driver logs and vehicle data to maintain full DOT compliance.
- Communicating with customers regarding delivery inquiries and resolving any service-related concerns.
- Organizing and coordinating pickups from local vendors.
- Collaborating with operations to ensure smooth outbound shipments and internal transfers, adhering to company standards.
You may be a great fit for this role if you meet the following qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of dispatching experience (industrial supply industry preferred).
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Proven ability to manage logistics while ensuring timely deliveries and exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Strong communication skills-professional, clear, and courteous in both written and verbal formats.
- Detail-oriented, especially in fast-paced and dynamic environments.
- Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive company and customer information.
- Comfortable working with internal departments, drivers, vendors, and customers alike.
